Do You Need a New Roof?

Do You Need a New Roof?
How often do you look at your roof? Like most people, you run in and out of the house constantly, only glancing up at the roofline occasionally as you back out of the driveway. However, regular roof inspections and small fixes often prevent costly repairs down the road. In addition to this, keeping your roof in good condition is very beneficial if you plan on selling your home in the future. When determining if your roof needs to be replaced, take in consideration these 4 things.
1. Attic inspections
Check for signs of your roof deck sagging, traces of water damage, dark spots and trails, and outside light showing through the roof.

2. Exterior check
Check for things like missing shingles ,damaged flashing,  curling, blistering, buckling,  rotting, and algae build up.

3. What’s the roof made of?
Determining when you need a new roof depends on roofing material as well as the part of the country in which you live in.

4. When was it built?
Looking into the age of your home’s roof can often determine when it needs to be replaced. The roofs of older homes are more likely to need a new roof.
