Why we choose James Hardie siding

We might not call them hurricanes here on the Oregon Coast, but we’ve all experienced those wind storms that can rival any hurricane. And while they might only happen a couple of times a year, they can be incredibly costly should the wind rip up the siding on your home.

One of the reasons we use James Hardie siding is its impact resistance against hail and windblown debris. Because it’s made from fiber cement, it has been specified by hurricane-zone building codes for building homes in hurricane, tornado and wildfire-prone areas.

Wildfires aren’t as big of a threat here on the coast, but it’s also nice to know that James Hardie siding is non-combustible. While no building material can guarantee a fireproof home, some sidings are better prepared to handle the heat.

It’s also built to last against cracking, rotting, hail damage, termites and a plethora of other problems. If you ask us what we recommend, it’s James Hardie all the way.
