• If your home has a low pitch, re-roofing rather than replacing the roof may be more cost effective.
• If your existing roof is in poor condition, replacement is the best option.
• If your roof deck is in bad shape, replacement is the best option.

In general, re-roofing will not hold up as well as a new roof.
